Chris Brown hands out Thanksgiving turkeys
Singer Chris Brown prepared for Thanksgiving on Thursday (26Nov15) by handing out turkeys to needy New Yorkers.
The Forever star joined charity workers in the borough of Queens on Wednesday (25Nov15) to hand out around 2,000 meat suppers from the back of a truck.
Chris documented his good deed by posting a series of pictures and
videos on his Instagram.com page, writing, "Gave out 2,000 turkeys
today... Happy Holidays."
The singer went on to post a candid message urging other
celebrities to take part in charity work over the festive
season.
"I honestly challenge the celebrities," he wrote. "We think about
ourselves all the time and take everything for granted. Driving
nice cars, jewelry, pretending to be something we aren't. Let's
give back because it's the right thing to do."
Other stars who took part in similar schemes include rapper Snoop
Dogg, who helped hand out 1,500 turkeys to residents of Inglewood,
California ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, and Big Sean, who
hosted a Thanksgiving Turkey Drive in Detroit, Michigan on Tuesday
(24Nov15).
