Chloe Grace Moretz to play Cameron Post in adaptation of bestseller

Chloe Grace Moretz has signed on to star in the film adaptation of Emily Danforth's acclaimed 2012 coming-of-age novel The Miseducation of Cameron Post.

Desiree Akhavan will direct the drama, about a girl forced into a gay conversion therapy center by her ultra-conservative aunt, after she's caught romancing the high school prom queen.

Moretz will portray Cameron, while American Honey star Sasha Lane has been cast as her friend and fellow clinic "disciple".

John Gallagher, Jr., The Revenant's Forrest Goodluck, and British actress Jennifer Ehle round out the cast.
