Cheryl Fernandez-Versini files for divorce - report
British pop star Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has filed for divorce to end her 19-month whirlwind marriage to husband Jean-Bernard, according to a report.
The pair married on the Caribbean island of Mustique in August, 2014 after dating for just three months. She later broke the news of her marriage by posting a photo of her diamond engagement ring and wedding band on Instagram.com.
The former Girls Aloud singer has cited irreconcilable differences
as the reason for the split, according to editors at The Sun on
Sunday newspaper.
On Friday (08Jan16), Cheryl posted a cryptic message on
Instagram.com, thought to hint at the divorce proceedings. "Sending
love to all the women out there trying to love themselves in a
world that constantly tells them not to," she wrote.
The couple was last spotted together at the joint 40th birthday
party of TV presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly back in
October (15), with Cheryl and Jean-Bernard arriving at the bash
hand-in-hand.
The pop star divorced her first husband, soccer player Ashley Cole,
in 2010 amid allegations he had been unfaithful.
