Charli XCX's tour bus broke down before BRIT Awards

Charli Xcx's appearance at the BRIT Awards in London on Wednesday (25Feb15) was thrown into jeopardy when her tour bus broke down in Poland.

The Boom Clap hitmaker performed in Krakow on Tuesday (24Feb15) as the opening act on Katy Perry's Prismatic World Tour and she planned to return to London the next day to present an award at the music prizegiving.

However, her plans were nearly scuppered when the coach she was travelling in suffered a major mechanical problem, and she was forced to find an alternative method of transport.

Speaking at the BRIT Awards, she told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "I was in Poland this morning. We were in a garage as our bus broke down... We had watched the horror movie Hostel earlier and woke to drilling, so I was terrified. I jumped on a plane to come straight here."

Charli is set to perform in Vienna, Austria on Thursday (26Feb15).
