Channing Tatum rescues female driver
Channing Tatum swooped in to help a female driver and her grandson after they were left stranded on the side of the road in Los Angeles.
The Step Up star was driving around Hollywood for an interview with a Details magazine journalist when he spotted a woman pushing her stalled vehicle down an exit ramp on the highway.
Concerned about her welfare, Tatum decided to stop, insisting, "The
car's smoking. Maybe it's on fire."
Upon seeing a young toddler strapped in the back seat, he decided
to first get the boy out of the car before locating the problem and
calling a tow truck company.
Tatum's chauffeur, Collins, was able to fix up the vehicle just
enough to get it to the nearest service station and the actor
slipped the woman $100 to help cover the cost of the repair,
telling her, "Get it fixed. Go fix it now. Don't get stuck out here
again. Take it slow. Put on your flashers."
