Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City have triumphed in a legal battle over their track Good Time.
The music stars were accused of ripping off Ah, It's a Love Song by little known singer/songwriter Allyson Burnett for their 2012 chart hit, but the musician has now dropped the copyright infringement lawsuit after "extensive investigation" confirmed Good Time to be an original composition, according to TMZ.com.
Representatives for Owl City, real name Adam Young, have filed
paperwork to claim around $525,902 in royalty money from Good Time
which was put into escrow by the musicians' publishing bosses at
BMI during the legal battle with Burnett.
