Carlos Vives duets with cancer-stricken girl at Miami concert

Latin crooner Carlos Vives made a young, cancer-stricken fan's dreams come true over the weekend (05-06Dec14) after inviting her onstage to perform a duet with him.

The Colombian singer met four-year-old Salma Richani during an October (14) visit to a hospital in Miami, Florida, where she had been undergoing treatment.

He invited Richani and her family to be his special guests at his recent show in Miami and decided to share the spotlight with her for a rendition of her favorite song, Volvi a nacer (I Was Born Again).

Introducing her to the audience, he said, "I have a friend that life has given me the opportunity to meet. She promised that she wanted to live and she is here tonight at our concert."

He added, "This song is a very special part of my kids, part of my family, part of (his children) Lena and Pedro, it is for Salma.

"Salma, I love you, thank you for being here tonight."
