Cara Delevingne debuts new hairstyle at Comic-Con
Cara Delevingne has unveiled a shorter hairstyle at Comic-Con, following an impromptu haircut.
Just 45 minutes before the panel for her new film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets at the annual entertainment convention in San Diego, California on Thursday (21Jul16), the 23-year-old star decided it was time for a new look.
The former model teased her 31 million followers on Instagram with
a shot of her golden locks on the floor of her hotel room, thanking
hairdresser Mara Roszak for her new 'do. And just before the panel,
the British beauty stepped out with her Valerian co-star Dane
DeHaan, rocking a wavy shoulder-length cut.
"I did it," Dane joked to Entertainment Tonight, after Cara
revealed her decision to go chop her hair was impulsive. "I cut his
hair too. We do each other's," she added.
Besides her cool new hairstyle, the Suicide Squad actress looked
chic in a pair of Dsquared2 tapered drop-crotch camouflage trousers
with she paired with a white V-neck T-shirt and a classic black
blazer. She completed the ensemble with eye-catching lace-up heels
which were fastened with bright yellow laces.
While Cara's having fun with her look at the moment, it seems she's
also enjoying experimenting with other people's hair too.
On Wednesday night (20Jul16), Cara made an appearance on Jimmy
Kimmel Live! where she actually shaved a fan’s head. "Have you ever
cut someone’s hair before?" Jimmy asked Cara as she wielded a
razor. "No, never," she said. "I think I was gonna do it with my
eyes closed, might be fun!"
Of the final product, a short buzz with a few inexplicable
side-braids, Cara seemed pleased, saying, "That’s really good! I
think I’m quitting my day job, this is my thing now."
In Luc Besson's sci-fi thriller Valerian, Dane stars as the title
character while Cara plays Laureline.
The pair are special operatives for the human territories tasked
with maintaining order in the galaxy, and are ordered by their
commander to protect a planet which seems like a utopia. It is set
to be released on 21 July next year (17).
