Candy Spelling suing landlord
The widow of TV mogul Aaron Spelling has filed a lawsuit against her California landlord.
Candy Spelling, who is reality star Tori Spelling's mom, is currently renting out a $28,000 -a-month pad at the Carlyle in Westwood, while her neighbouring penthouse remains under construction.
The author claims she had a deal with the owner to extend her lease
agreement if building work fell behind schedule, but now she's
accused him of reneging by trying to force her out of the
space.
The 67 year old also alleges she's had to spend $10,000 to fix the
apartment's air conditioning and heating system, as well as nearly
pay double the price for utilities and share her private elevator
with other tenants.
Spelling has filed legal papers seeking unspecified damages,
according to TMZ.com.
