Cameron Diaz harbouring crush on Tom Courtenay

Cameron Diaz has developed an unlikely crush - she is besotted with ageing British actor Sir Tom Courtenay.

The Hollywood star filmed new comedy caper Gambit with Brits Colin Firth and Alan Rickman, but she only had eyes for one man on set - 75-year-old Courtenay.

The blonde beauty admits she can't bring herself to watch the Doctor Zhivago actor in his early films, because she wishes they had met when he was younger.

She tells Elle magazine, "(Tom Courteney) who I'm in love with. I need a little big of hocus-pocus magic voodoo to try and get him to be, like, 40 years younger. He's so charming, so much fun - he's got such a great spirit.

"I don't want to (watch him in a film when he is younger) - my heart would break. Like, literally. I don't want to tease myself (with) what could have been."
