Bruno Mars thanks fans for support after mum's death

Bruno Mars has broken his silence following the death of his beloved mother, insisting he is grateful for fans' support during the "most difficult time" in his life.

The Just the Way You Are hitmaker is in mourning after his mom Bernadette Hernandez passed away on Saturday (01Jun13). The 55-year-old former hula dancer suffered a brain aneurysm at a hospital in Hawaii.

Bruno Mars has now spoken out about his loss and assured devotees he will soon be back in the spotlight - as it's what his mother would have wanted.

In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "So thankful for all the love during the most difficult time in my life. Ill (sic) be back on my feet again soon. Thats (sic) what mom wants, she told me."

Bruno Mars is scheduled to kick off a world tour on 22 June (13) in Washington, D.C.
