Britney Spears was moved to tears by a college marching band's tribute to her music, performed during half-time at a big football game earlier this month (Oct13).

The student musicians at the University of California staged a five-minute medley of the superstar's hits, starting with Toxic and ending with ...Baby One More Time, before their Golden Bears college football team went head-to-head with state rivals the University of California, Los Angeles Bruins on 12 October (13).

Video footage of the impressive performance was recently brought to Spears' attention and the pop icon made her appreciation known by sending out a Twitter.com post to the band.

Taking to her blog on Thursday (24Oct13), she wrote, "Heart bubbles popping @calband. I teared up watching this. Thank ya'll so much (sic)!!! Go Golden Bears!"

Spears then shared a YouTube.com link to the medley with her online followers.
