Britney Spears hits a low with new album sales

Britney Spears has scored the lowest-selling album of her career with her latest self-titled release.
The Toxic hitmaker, who starts a residency in Las Vegas later this month (Dec13), released her eighth studio album, Britney Jean, on 29 November (13) and it went on to sell just 107,000 copies in its opening week.
The tally gave Spears fourth place on the Billboard 200, marking
the lowest national album sales of her career.
Britney Jean also fared badly in the U.K. after barely scraping
into the top 40 chart. The record entered at number 34 with sales
of just 12,959 in its first week, marking Spears' lowest ever album
chart position in Britain.
