Bobbi Kristina's cousin banned from burial as death photo sells to highest bidder
Bobbi Kristina Brown's cousin was reportedly banned from attending the tragic youngster's burial service in New Jersey on Monday (03Aug15) after her mother caused a disruption at the 22 year old's funeral over the weekend (01-02Aug15).
The only daughter of singers Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston was remembered during a ceremony at the St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia on Saturday (01Aug15), but the service was marred by Bobby's sister, Leolah Brown, who heckled Whitney's former manager and sister-in-law, Pat Houston, allegedly screaming, "Pat, you know you are wrong for this", as she delivered a eulogy.
Leolah had to be escorted out of the church by filmmaker and family
friend Tyler Perry.
The drama continued on Monday, when Leolah's daughter, Aja Scott,
was refused entry to Fairview Cemetery in Freehold, New Jersey,
where Bobbi Kristina was buried beside her mother.
Scott, 36, reveals she called Pat Houston after learning she was
not on the guest list, which included Bobby Brown, grandmother
Cissy Houston, and Whitney's cousin, singer Dionne Warwick, and was
told, "Who invited you?", according to the New York Post.
She continues, "I said, 'I am her cousin on her father's side...'
and since I'm not on the list, she won't let me in. Why is Pat
being so secretive? She should let her friends and her family say
farewell."
Scott also defended her mother's outburst at the funeral,
explaining she is simply struggling to deal with the tragedy, which
began in January (15), when Bobbi Kristina was found face down and
unresponsive in a bath tub at the Roswell home she shared with
boyfriend Nick Gordon.
She says, "She is having a hard time with it. We are treated like
the side (of the family) that wants money out of it (Bobbi
Kristina's death). Money doesn't matter. It's Bobbi Kristina that
matters. All the money in the world can't bring her back."
Meanwhile, the Brown and Houston families are also said to be
blaming one another over a photo taken of Bobbi Kristina lying in
her silver casket, which has reportedly been sold to a media outlet
for over $100,000 , according to TMZ.com.
The image is thought to have been secretly snapped at a private
viewing of the aspiring actress' body, which took place in Georgia
on Friday (31Jul15).
A relative previously attempted to cash in on a picture of Bobbi
Kristina fighting for her life in hospital earlier this year (15),
but it failed to sell. It is not known if the latest snap was taken
by the same person.
Ironically, the two families also feuded over a similar issue in
2012, after a photo of Whitney in her casket was leaked to the
press.
