Big Sean planning another Twenty88 album with 'soulmate' Jhene Aiko
Rapper Big Sean has promised fans another collaborative album with new girlfriend Jhene Aiko after branding the couple "soulmates" in a sweet tweet.
The stars teamed up to form the duo TWENTY88 and released their self-titled debut album earlier this year (16).
Their chemistry in the studio has since spilled over into real
life, with Jhene filing for divorce from producer Dot da Genius in
August (16), two months after sharing a kiss with Big Sean onstage
in June (16).
Jhene went public with her new romance in October (16), when she
posted a telling photo of the Clique hitmaker kissing her cheek as
she smiled. She captioned the snap "#mcm", standing for Man Crush
Monday.
Now Big Sean has revealed the couple is heading back into the
studio to work on new music together for 2017, as well as their own
respective solo albums.
After a fan heaped praise on the artists' TWENTY88 release on
Twitter, Big Sean responded, "Thank you the next @twenty88 album is
coming next year. We gon get our solo's off too though (sic)!"
He then added the hashtag "#Dons", suggesting they are at the top
of their games, and revealed he considers them "#Soulmates".
Big Sean has already teased fans about his follow-up to 2015's Dark
Sky Paradise, recently sharing new songs No More Interviews and
Bounce Back. Meanwhile, Jhene has been working on her sophomore
album, Souled Out.
The hip-hop star is no stranger to high-profile relationships - he
was briefly engaged to actress Naya Rivera until their split in
April, 2014, and he went on to date another singer and
collaborator, Ariana Grande. They parted ways last year (15) after
eight months together.
