Bieber and Gomez shrug off split rumors in Northern Ireland

Justin Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez put on a united front on Saturday night (05Nov11) by attending an MTV European Music Awards dinner together amid false rumors of a split.

The teenage pop star hit headlines this week (ends06Nov11) after 20-year-old Mariah Yeater claimed she fell pregnant with his baby after having sex with the singer backstage at a concert in Los Angeles.

Bieber vehemently denied the allegations, but online reports suggested the drama had taken a toll on his relationship with Gomez.

However, the young couple shrugged off the split rumors by appearing together in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Saturday to attend the MTV Voices Dinner, where Bieber was the guest of honor.

The Baby hitmaker was presented with the inaugural MTV Voices Award in recognition of his tireless charity work, and he and Gomez were photographed holding hands as they arrived at the Merchant Hotel bash together.

The event took place on the eve of the MTV Europe Music Awards in the city on Sunday (06Nov11).
