Beyonce writes foreword for new Prince book

New mom Beyonce has written the foreword to photographer 's new book about Prince.

Prince: A Private View features rare and unseen snaps of the tragic musician, taken by his friend, who served as the late icon's photographer for two decades.

In the foreword, Beyonce, who performed alongside Prince at the 2004 Grammy Awards, writes: "Truth be told, the word 'icon' only scratches the surface of what Prince was and what he remains to me."

The photo book will be released in October (17).
