Beyonce surprises Laverne Cox with flower gift

Actress Laverne Cox was left speechless after receiving flowers from Beyonce following her Destiny'S Child tribute on U.S. miming show Lip Sync Battle.

The Orange Is the New Black star channeled her inner Beyonce for an appearance on the hit competition last month (Oct16), when she lip-synced her way through an energetic version of the girl band's Lose My Breath hit.

The performance went viral, and the Halo superstar herself has since reached out to Laverne to thank her for honoring the group in such style.

Cox took to Instagram on Tuesday (01Nov16) to share a photo of the potted white orchids delivered to her dressing room on the set of upcoming legal drama series Doubt.

The gift included a handwritten note from the singer: "Laverne, Thank you for blessing this world with your slayage (sic)," it read. "You were gorgeous on Lip Sync Battle. Love, Beyonce."

Laverne also uploaded two snaps of her stunned reaction to the sweet present, and captioned the collage: "When you are at work on #Doubt... and get flowers and a hand written card from the Queen Bey herself @beyonce.

"Thank you Beyonce for such a thoughtful gesture. You didn't have to but it means so much that you did. I am so happy you enjoyed the #LipSyncBattle tribute to Destiny's Child. You know I live for everything you do. EVERYTHING!! Thank you, thank you thank you!!!!"

She went on to thank her friends for capturing her surprise on camera and helping to prevent Cox from fainting.

"Thank you @dreamadew for thinking to take photos to document my utter shock and disbelief moments after opening the card," she added. "Thank you @farmercarla and @theladydeja for holding me up so I didn't fall to the floor as I lost control of my body. Thank you water proof mascara for keeping this makeup in tact cause I have to head back to set soon. Thank you @spikelsb for making this happen Wow, what a day! God is GOOD!!"
