Beyonce stuns at inaugural Wearable Art Gala
Beyonce stole the spotlight at her mother's inaugural Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday (29Apr17) when the pregnant superstar stunned in a sexy red gown and floral headdress.
Stylist Tina Knowles-Lawson hosted the event at the California African American Museum and her family showed out in force to support her new venture.
Beyonce decided to skip the red carpet, but turned heads inside the bash as she sashayed into the gala wearing a long-sleeved dress with plunging neckline, designed by Stephanie Costello for Stello, which clung to her growing baby belly. She topped off her look with an elaborate headdress, which featured flowers, butterflies, and dragonflies.
The singer, who is expecting twins, was joined by her husband Jay Z, in a powder blue tuxedo, and five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, who attended in a pink Mischka Aoki outfit decorated with butterflies.
Beyonce's younger sister Solange was also on hand to celebrate the occasion, while her former Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams got all dressed up for the ball, too.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight before her eldest daughter's arrival, Tina insisted the star is "doing great" during her pregnancy, before joking there would be consequences if Beyonce decided to ditch the party.
"Of course she is (coming out)," Tina smiled. "I'm her mama, and I'll get her if she doesn't!"
She also heaped praise on Beyonce and Jay Z's "incredible" parenting skills, and admitted she was overjoyed to be expecting another two grandchildren.
"I'm so excited," she exclaimed. "I can't wait."
The first ever Wearable Art Gala was organized to raise funds for Tina's new WACO (Where Art Can Occur) Theater Center, which she recently co-founded with her husband, actor Richard Lawson.
