Beyonce stops concert to serenade fan

Superstar Beyonce helped to make a fan's birthday wish come true by halting her concert in Birmingham, England on Sunday (23Feb14) to serenade the young woman.

The Drunk in Love hitmaker was performing on the latest U.K. leg of her The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, when she spotted Shehnaz Khan in the crowd holding up a sign revealing it was her birthday.

Beyonce then directed her band to stop playing and addressed Khan, saying, "You got the sign and everything, what's your name? And how do you spell it?"

The 32 year old then walked off the stage and into the crowd to serenade the 22 year old.

Khan tells the Birmingham Mail, "(It was) incredible, when is that ever going to happen again?

"I was wearing a birthday badge which she noticed early on in the show, she kind of nodded in acknowledgement. I've been to quite a few of her gigs. But I can't believe she stopped the show for me. I really wanted her to sing to me, but I can't believe she did it. I was leaning over the barrier holding her hand and not realising the camera in my other hand was recording. Everyone around me was going crazy."
