Beyonce settles video game lawsuit

Beyonce has brought her legal battle with a video games company to an amicable conclusion after reaching a settlement to conclude the dispute.

The superstar was hit with a $100 million lawsuit from executives at Gate Five over allegations she backed out of a games project titled Starpower: Beyonce at the last minute in 2010.

The case was set to go to trial in New York City, but the singer has now settled the dispute. Papers were filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on Friday (14Jun13) to bring the legal action to a close.

Peter Gallagher, a lawyer representing Gate Five, tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "We’ve settled amicably. I can’t discuss the terms of the settlement, but it was resolved.”

The terms of the settlement have not been made public.
