Beyonce once confronted 50 Cent over Jay Z feud

Rapper 50 Cent once got a taste of Beyonce's temper in a Las Vegas club when she thought he had been disrespectful towards her husband Jay Z.

The In Da Club hitmaker recalled the surprising encounter during a weekend (31May-01Jun14) appearance on New York radio station Power 105.1, during which he detailed how far Beyonce went to stand up for her man.

He explained, "One time (Beyonce) jumped off of a ledge and came running over 'cause she thought me and Jay had issues (sic). And I'm like, 'What the f**k? Did she really just jump and run up on me like that?'

"We was (sic) at the Cosmopolitan. She jumped out and was like this (in his face like), 'What?! That Bonnie and Clyde for real! You try this or what, boy (sic)?! I'm here!' She bugged (flipped) out at me. I looked and Jay starts laughing. He's like, 'Yo, you know what it is.' I said, 'Oh s**t! What the f**k y'all got going on, man?' Bey jumped down off of that joint like, 'What?! Wassup (sic)?!'"

50 Cent did not give a timeline of events, but he had been trading shots with Jay Z in the lyrics to their songs from 1999, when the Empire State of Mind hitmaker famously responded to a jab by rapping at the annual New Jersey Summer Jam concert, "I'm about a dollar, what the f**k is 50 Cents?"

However, the pair's feud was merely lyrical and the stars went on to tour together in 2003 and 2007.

Beyonce and Jay Z began dating in the early 2000s and wed in 2008.
