Beyonce bombarded with junk food snaps after vegan publicity stunt

Beyonce is at the centre of an online food war as disgruntled fans have been bombarding her social media accounts with emoticons of hamburgers and pizza after she staged a TV publicity stunt to promote her vegan diet plan.

The pop superstar teased a major announcement ahead of her appearance on TV show Good Morning America on Monday (08Jun15), prompting speculation she was set to unveil a new album or tour, but fans were left disappointed when she went on the air to promote her vegan meal service.

Beyonce, who launched the scheme earlier this year (15), has now come under fire from fans who have shown their annoyance by flooding her Instagram.com account with emoticons of junk food, such as hamburgers, pizza, fries, fried chicken, ice cream and cookies.

Some supporters have attempted to hit back at the online campaign by adding snaps of meat-free treats such as apples, but it triggered a further avalanche of junk food posts.
