Ben Affleck gives surprise pep talk to Michigan football team

Actor Ben Affleck gave an impromptu pep talk to the football players at Michigan State University after working out at the school's gym.

The Oscar winner is currently filming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in Detroit and surrounding cities, and to keep his brawny body as the Caped Crusader, Affleck has been hitting the team's weight room.

Following his workout on Thursday (16Oct14), Spartans head coach Mike Dantonio invited Affleck to speak to the team before their practise.

Affleck gladly agreed, and opened his speech by simply saying, "I'm Batman."

He continued to give the team a short pep talk for their big game versus Indiana University on Saturday (18Oct14).

The Argo star follows in the footsteps of Matthew McConaughey, who revisited his chest-thumping character from The Wolf of Wall Street while giving a similar speech to the Longhorns football team of his alma mater the University of Texas at Austin earlier this month.
