Azealia Banks: 'The truth about Russell Crowe fight will come out on Wednesday'
Defiant Azealia Banks is refusing to back down following her alleged spat with Russell Crowe at a party on Saturday (15Oct16), revealing the truth will be released on Wednesday (19Oct16).
The rapper has filed a police report, accusing the actor of allegedly spitting on her, calling her the N-word and kicking her out of a party she attended with the Wu-Tang Clan's RZA.
But sources tell TMZ, Banks was the aggressor and Crowe took action
when she allegedly became abusive towards him and another female
guest.
Azealia demanded an apology from the Gladiator star and when one
didn't come, she went to the Beverly Hills police department.
In a now-deleted Facebook rant on Sunday (16Oct16), the 212 rapper
claimed Crowe choked her, and then "threw me out and spat at
me".
She added, "Last night was one of the hardest nights of sleep I've
had in a long time... I wish I had someone to beat him up for
me."
In a new post, which has also been deleted, she adds, "The truth
will be out on Wednesday. I am 100% innocent in this matter. No
matter how you feel about me no person deserves to be handled that
way. And I will not be threatened or chastised into keeping
quiet.
"This man MUST and WILL be held accountable for his actions. This
is the most expensive mistake he will ever make in his life."
Meanwhile, a spokesman for Banks has issued a statement on her
behalf. It reads: "Azealia is tremendously distraught and
disheartened. She is shell shocked... and will speak out on the
incident once she has had time to process the brutality and abuse
she was unjustly subjected to."
