Azealia Banks signed by Lady Gaga's manager
Azealia Banks is hoping to follow in Lady Gaga's successful shoes after landing a new deal with the Poker Face hitmaker's manager.
Troy Carter has signed on to represent the controversial 212 rapper, and she's convinced the new management deal will lead to bigger and better things.
Announcing the news on Twitter.com on Wednesday (18Apr12), Banks
posted, "a whole new set of resources to take advantage of... We're
gonna vamp this up and make it official... No more ghetto mixes and
closet recording... I have a budget now!"
It has been a great year for Banks so far, who signed to Universal
Music in January (12) after parting ways with Adele's indie label
home XL Recordings. She was also among the highlight performers at
last weekend's (13-15Apr12) Coachella festival in California.
