Azealia Banks flies off the handle after court hearing

Rapper Azealia Banks cursed out photographers and nearly damaged equipment while leaving the New York courthouse in Manhattan on Monday (28Mar16).

The 212 hitmaker was at the judicial building to appear in a hearing connected to her arrest in December (15), when she was taken into custody after allegedly punching and biting a female security outside a nightclub in the Big Apple.

According to the New York Daily News, her behavior was very outlandish and aggressive as she headed from the courthouse to her car on Monday, with the outlet reporting she snapped at photographers eager to take her picture.

"Suck a d**k, f**ker, " she reportedly snarled before hitting a paparazzo's camera and hopping into her ride.

It's claimed Banks' entire court appearance was bizarre from the beginning, as she arrived late to the hearing due to traffic, according to her lawyer Stacey Richman.

When she finally turned up at around 11am local time, Banks' outfit did not seem to fit the occasion in the slightest, as the musician opted to wear a leather jacket, orange camouflage pants, purple toe shoes and lavender arm-warmers topped off with a green camouflage floppy hat.

When asked by reporters if she has anything to say about her case, Banks replied: "Download Slay-Z Mixtape - link on my Twitter and my Instagram".

The Slay-Z Mixtape, which features eight songs by the rapper, was released last Thursday (24Mar16).

The next hearing for Banks' assault case will take place on 11 May (16).
