Avril Lavigne slams rehab rumors

Singer Avril Lavigne has blasted "hilarious" rumors that she is undergoing treatment for substance abuse.

The Sk8er Boi hitmaker took to Twitter.com to refute multiple reports suggesting she is being treated for substance abuse and depression as a result of her split from husband Chad Kroeger.

Rumors have long-circulated that the star has broken up with the Nickelback frontman, who insisted in an interview last month (Nov14) that they are still together.

Lavigne laughed off the suggestion and insisted her only addiction is the music of festive crooner Bing Crosby before wishing her followers on the microblogging site a merry Christmas.

She writes, "The rehab RUMORS are hilarious! The only thing I'm addicted to right now is Bing Crosby. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! and to all a goodnight!"
