Avril Lavigne bounces back from attack to record new music
Avril Lavigne is feeling "re-inspired" and throwing herself into writing new music after she was attacked in a bar brawl earlier this month.
The Complicated hitmaker was left bloody and bruised after she and her boyfriend, reality TV star Brody Jenner, were involved in an altercation with five others in Los Angeles.
Lavigne sustained a black eye and bloody nose in the bust-up, while
Jenner was taken to hospital to receive treatment for his
injuries.
But now the star is putting the incident behind her after signing a
new record deal and heading into the studio to write tracks with
legendary producer Antonio 'L.A.' Reid.
In a series of posts on Twitter.com, she tells fans, "I'm in the
studio writing and recording a new song. And I am thinking of you
all. Exciting!!!! I am now on Epic Records and finally working with
LA Reid again (he signed me when I was 15) Re-inspired... I'm
having fun, 2 songs down!"
