Australian star Ruby Rose joins Orange Is The New Black

Australian model-turned-DJ Ruby Rose has joined the cast of hit series Orange Is The New Black.

The actress will join the inmates behind bars and took to her Facebook.com page on Tuesday (06Jan15) to share the exciting news, which she discusses in the newest issue of Elle Magazine.

She writes, "Grab yourself a copy of ELLE MAGAZINE and read about my new role on a small unheard of series called Orange Is The New Black... (insert sarcasm) Haha I am very excited and honored to be named one of the Magazine's fresh faces on TV to watch in 2015."

A spokesperson for the hit comedy tells BuzzFeed that Rose will play jailbird Stella Carlin, whose "sarcastic sense of humor and captivating looks quickly draw the attention of some of Litchfield's (prison) inmates."

The third season of the Emmy-winning series will premiere later this year (15).
