August Alsina returns home after stage fall and hospitalization
Rising R&B star August Alsina has been discharged from a hospital in New York after spending three days in a coma following a stage fall.
The No Love singer collapsed and hit his head as he fell during a performance in the Big Apple on 15 September (14).
He was admitted to the intensive care unit at a local hospital,
where he suffered a number of seizures as a result of the head
injury and slipped into a coma.
He regained consciousness last Friday (19Sep14) and has since been
allowed to travel home to New Orleans, Louisiana, where he will
continue to recover from the health scare.
Taking to Twitter.com on Wednesday (24Sep14), he wrote, "Healthy
enough to b (be) discharged from the hospital today... Scariest
time of my life... but im a soulja & so is God.Thankyou for your
prayers (sic)."
Meanwhile, Alsina's representatives are hoping he will be well
enough to resume his tour within the next two weeks after
announcing plans on Friday (26Sep14) to perform two dates in the
United Arab Emirates on 7 and 9 October (14), followed by a pair of
shows in London on 10 and 11 October (14).
He is also preparing to head out on the road with Usher for a
27-date North American trek from 1 November (14).
