Ariel Winter: 'I looked HOT in that dress!'

Ariel Winter has hit back at body shamers who criticized her for wearing a cleavage-revealing dress to a graduation party.

The actress is most famous for her role as Alex Dunphy in Modern Family, a part she started playing when she was just 11 years old. She is now 18 and recently celebrated her high school graduation at a party over the weekend (18-19Jun16), wearing a sexy dress with a keyhole chest which displayed a large amount of underboob.

Ariel was targeted by trolls for her choice of ensemble, but took to Twitter on Wednesday night (22Jun16) to respond to the haters.

"Dear sorry body-shamers, I looked HOT in that dress. And if you hate it, don't buy it," Ariel wrote. "But please get a hobby. XOXO Ariel #EmbraceYourBody."

The pretty redhead later added: "Embrace all that you are. Don't let those outside voices become your inner voice #mychoice #loveyourcurves."

Ariel chose the Kim Kardashian-inspired dress to attend a party thrown for her by sister Shanelle Gray at her sibling's house. She posed for a snap next to a table filled with black and white candy, and expressed her gratitude to her family and friends for supporting her throughout her education and career.

"I couldn't be luckier or more grateful," she wrote. "I was in awe last night and I still am that you guys love me that much to do all of that for me."

Ariel's outfit choices also saw her hit headlines back in February (16) when she wore a revealing gown to the SAG Awards. The dress did little to hide the scars the actress has after undergoing breast reduction surgery, but Ariel argued that she didn't want to conceal the marks as they are big part of her history.

"Guys there is a reason I didn't make an effort to cover up my scars! They are a part of me and I’m not ashamed of them at all," she told her fans after the event.
