Ariana Grande tweets and deletes Justin Bieber snap after fan attack

Singer/actress Ariana Grande came under attack from overzealous Justin Bieber fans on Thursday (08Aug13) after sharing a Twitter.com photo of the Baby hitmaker kissing her on the cheek.

The 20 year old joined the North American leg of the teenage pop icon's Believe tour as a support act this week (begs05Aug13) and he welcomed Grande to the trek by giving her a playful smooch.

She uploaded a photo of the friendly peck to her Twitter blog on Thursday (08Aug13), but she became inundated with outraged tweets by Bieber devotees as it was shared more than 27,000 times in just three hours.

The angry response prompted Grande, who is dating Australian star Jai Brooks, to delete the snap and she has since insisted there was nothing romantic about the kiss.

Returning to her Twitter page, she writes, "Everyone, girls are allowed to be friends with guys. I'm a lady. Chill out."
