Ariana Grande and Idina Menzel to be honoured at Billboard Awards

Ariana Grande and Idina Menzel are the latest stars to be unveiled as honourees at this year's (14) Billboard Women in Music Awards.

Grande will be handed the Billboard Rising Star prize, following in the footsteps of previous recipients including Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Janelle Monae.

She tells Billboard.com, "To be recognised alongside some of the most influential women in the music business is such an incredible honour... Receiving the Rising Star award is truly amazing and I'm extremely grateful!"

Menzel, who will be given the inaugural Breakthrough Artist of the Year prize, adds, "I'm so honoured to receive the Breakthrough Artist Award from Billboard. This has definitely been an amazing breakthrough year and I'm thrilled and humbled by it all, including this wonderful award."

They will be joined by fellow honouree Taylor Swift, who was previously announced as the 2014 Billboard Woman of the Year, at the event in New York on 12 December (14).
