Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson returning for Pitch Perfect 3

Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson have signed on for a third installment of blockbuster movie musical Pitch Perfect.

Bosses at Universal Pictures announced they are moving forward with a second sequel earlier this month (Jun15), and now stars Kendrick and Wilson have revealed they will be sharing the screen once again.

Kendrick took to Twitter.com with a photo of herself holding up the number three with her fingers, and added the caption, "Happening #3", while Wilson wrote, "I know I spilt (sic) the beans a little while ago, but at least now it's OFFICIAL!! PITCH PERFECT 3, July 21, 2017!!!"

Screenwriter Kay Cannon, who penned the 2012 original and its hit follow-up, Pitch Perfect 2, is in talks to return for the next film, but it's not yet known if actress Elizabeth Banks, who made her directorial debut with this year's hit sequel, will return for another film in the franchise.

Pitch Perfect 2 has become the highest-grossing movie musical of all time after raking in $259 million at the worldwide box office following its release last month (May15).
