Angelina Jolie 'to portray late mom in biopic'
Angelina Jolie is set to celebrate the life of her late mother Marcheline Bertrand by portraying her onscreen in a planned biopic, according to U.K. reports.
The Hollywood beauty is working on the project with her fiance Brad Pitt, who is said to be producing the film through his company Plan B next year (14), reports the Sunday Express.
Details surrounding the movie are scarce, but it is likely to
detail Marcheline Bertrand's decision to turn her back on acting
and dedicate her time to humanitarian causes, such as her work with
female refugees in Afghanistan and her efforts to launch the Give
Love Give Life organization to fight gynaecological cancers.
Marcheline Bertrand died in 2007 at the age of 56 after a lengthy
battle with ovarian cancer.
Angelina Jolie, who has continued her mother's charity efforts,
recently revealed she had undergone a double mastectomy after
learning she carried the BRCA1 gene mutation, which doctors
estimated gave her an 87 per cent chance of developing breast
cancer.
