Andrew Garfield thrilled schoolkids in New York by turning up at a classroom and urging youngsters to carry out voluntary work.
The new Spider-Man visited the Albert Shanker School for Visual and Performing Arts in Long Island City on Tuesday (26Jun12) to talk to kids about the region's Be Amazing, Stand Up and Volunteer drive.
He also discussed the importance of defending classmates against
bullies, admitting he was picked on by classmates at school in
England.
Garfield added, "I think that's what Spider-Man always stood for.
Hate doesn't end hate. Love ends hate."
