The Amazing Spiderman co-stars and real life couple Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will mark Earth Hour by switching off the lights in Singapore.

The annual Earth Hour event encourages citizens around the world to conserve energy by turning lights off for 60 minutes, so Garfield and Stone will begin the hour by switching off the lights across Singapore's iconic Marina Bay skyline at 8:30pm local time.

The British actor says, "I'm proud Spider-Man is the first superhero ambassador for Earth Hour because he shows we can all be superheroes when we realise the power we all have. Earth Hour is a movement that has created massive impact around the world."

Director Marc Webb and Hollywood star Jamie Foxx, who joins the actors in the film's upcoming sequel, will also be in the Asian city for the big moment on 29 March (14).
