Amy Schumer makes history on Highest-Paid Comedians list

Written by . Published: September 27 2016

Amy Schumer has made history by becoming the first woman on the Forbes magazine's Highest-Paid Comedians List.

The Trainwreck star, who also became the first female comic to headline Madison Square Garden in New York earlier this year (16), comes in fourth on the new countdown, behind Kevin Hart, Jerry Seinfeld, and Terry Fator.

Forbes bosses estimate she made over $17 million between June 2015 and June 2016, beating out the likes of Jeff Dunham, Dave Chapelle, and Jim Gaffigan, who come in fifth, sixth and seventh on the list.

It has been an amazing year for the comic, who recently released her memoir The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo - she has also found love with furniture designer boyfriend Ben Hanisch, enjoyed a run of sold-out stand-up comedy shows and has upcoming film projects featuring Goldie Hawn and pal Jennifer Lawrence.
