Amber Heard withdraws request for temporary spousal support - report

Amber Heard has reportedly withdrawn her request for temporary spousal support from Johnny Depp.

According to TMZ.com, Heard's lawyer filed a declaration on Monday (13Jun16), insisting the actress only asked for financial backing from her estranged spouse because she thought it was the standard operating procedure in a divorce case.

The actress filed to end the couple's 15-month marriage in May (16), and then obtained a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Depp, accusing him of abusing her throughout their marriage.

The spousal support issue was due to be dealt with at Friday's (17Jun16) hearing at which a judge will decide whether to extend Heard's temporary restraining order against her ex, but The Danish Girl star has now taken it off the table. The website said the actress is unhappy by how the monetary side of things is being portrayed, and stated in the legal papers that it is being "used against me to distract and divert the public away from the very serious real issue of domestic violence."

Apparently Heard added in the documents that the court could have ordered Depp to pay her around $1 million in temporary support per month, due to his 2015 salary of almost $30 million .

Despite this new development, Heard isn't withdrawing her request for spousal support completely. In the documents she reserves the right to request financial support from her spouse after the restraining order issue is handled, TMZ adds.

The increasingly acrimonious divorce case hit headlines once again on Monday after Heard's representatives called the police when aides for the actor reportedly violated a court order and raided the former couple's home.

Under the terms of the order, the Pirates of the Caribbean star has to stay at least 100 yards away from the Downtown Los Angeles home he shared with Heard, local law enforcement sources told the news website.

However, reports suggest that members of Depp's camp entered the home on Monday and began taking items from the property, removing decor from walls and gathering furniture which they insisted belonged to the actor.

Although Depp himself was not present, Heard's team reportedly called in Los Angeles Police Department officials on the grounds of a possible violation of the restraining order.
