Adrienne Bailon feels 'blessed and grateful' for new husband
Singer/actress Adrienne Bailon has "never been happier" after tying the knot with gospel star Israel Houghton in Paris, France.
The former Cheetah Girls star walked down the aisle at the Hotel Plaza Athenee on Friday (11Nov16), in the same city where Christian singer Israel, 45, proposed in August (16) after a whirlwind romance.
The bride has since gushed about her big day, revealing the
nuptials were a dream come true.
"I genuinely just feel so blessed and grateful," the bride tells
People.com. "I've honestly never been happier in my entire life.
I've never felt what I feel right now. I can't even describe what
it is, but it's such a peace mixed with total excitement."
The couple was joined by around 70 guests, including Adrienne's
co-hosts on U.S. talk show The Real, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni
Love, and Jeannie Mai, and New York radio personality Angie
Martinez, and the 33-year-old is glad they kept the guest list
tight.
"I'm so glad we chose such an intimate group who have shared in our
journey and know our hearts and that I honestly feel comfortable
crying in front of," she says. "I didn't want to invite people I
felt I had to put on a performance for. I wanted every moment to be
genuine and really special and that's what it is going to be."
According to E! News, the bride and groom held their rehearsal
dinner at hot spot Ferdi on Thursday night (10Nov16) and the
restaurant was particularly special for the stars as they met at
Ferdi almost a decade ago.
However, the musicians only began dating in March (16), a month
after Houghton split from his wife of 20 years, Meleasa.
The marriage is Adrienne's first, although she was previously
engaged to music executive Lenny Santiago, before breaking off the
romance in the summer of 2015. She also dated new dad Rob
Kardashian from 2007 to 2009.
