Adele presented with iHeartRadio award mid-concert

Adele discovered she was the winner of an iHeartRadio award during her concert in Birmingham, England on Wednesday night (30Mar16).
The Rolling in the Deep singer is nominated for five iHeartRadio awards, but she is unable to attend the ceremony in California to discover if she is a winner on Sunday (03Apr16) because of her world tour.
On Wednesday, days before the prizegiving, the singer learned she
had beaten Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Walk the Moon, and Mark Ronson
and Bruno Mars for the Song of the Year trophy for Hello.
She was presented with the trophy during a break in her set and she
delivered an acceptance speech in front of the audience, which will
air during the ceremony.
"Thank you so much to everybody that voted - fans, programmers,
everybody", she said in the speech, according to MailOnline. "We
would like to say a massive hello back to you from Birmingham."
She was presented with the award on the same day she was nominated
for her first ever BAFTA. Her TV special Adele at the BBC is
nominated for Entertainment Programme alongside the anniversary
special of chat show TGI Friday and reality shows Britain's Got
Talent and Strictly Come Dancing.
At the iHeartRadio awards, Adele is also in competition for Female
Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for 25, Best Lyrics for Hello
and Most Meme-able Moment for the Internet memes created from her
Hello video, which include Lionel Richie and Miss Piggy from The
Muppets.
Jason Derulo is set to host the awards show from The Forum in
Inglewood, California on Sunday. Taylor Swift looks set for success
on the night as she goes in with eight nominations. She has already
been named the winner of the Best Tour trophy.
Adele will be performing in Birmingham on Saturday (02Apr16), the
night before the awards, and in London on Monday (04Apr16). The
first leg of her tour ends in June (16).
