Adam Levine accidentally hits fan with mic
Adam Levine was left apologizing to a fan at a Maroon 5 concert in Canada on Monday (16Mar15) when a microphone he hurled in a rage over sound issues bounced off the stage and into her face.
During the gig at Toronto's Air Canada Center, the Moves Like Jagger hitmaker became frustrated after a short power outage and in video obtained by TMZ.com, the singer throws the mic to the ground and watched as it hit fan Stephanie Green, who was seated in the front row.
Levine immediate ran over to check on Green and apologized for
causing injury to her forehead.
He told the crowd, "In my flustered state, I might have thrown my
microphone on the ground and then it might have bounced off of the
ground, into poor, sweet Stephanie's face. I felt so utterly
terribly that I had perhaps wounded this young fan."
However, Green, who is now sporting a large bump where she was hit
by the mic, is surprisingly upbeat after the incident, calling it
"the best day".
In an interview with Toronto's CityNews, Green says, "My dream come
true. I never thought in a million years this would happen to
me.
"I was on stage, back and forth, freaking out," Green said. "He
(Levine) hugged me… grabbed my face, held my hands! He kept
apologizing. I said, 'I love you, I'm happy, I'm OK!'"
And Green isn't letting the injury deter her from going to future
Maroon 5 shows, adding, "Once they announce the next concert, first
thing... front row... anything can happen!"
