Actress Sarah Colonna weds

Actress/comedienne Sarah Colonna tied the knot with her sportsman boyfriend Jon Ryan on Saturday (09Jul16).

The United States of Tara actress, who also featured as a regular on pal Chelsea Handler's former talk show Chelsea Lately, wed the Seattle Seahawks punter during a beachside ceremony in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Sarah took to Instagram on Sunday (10Jul16) to share shots from their big day, including one of herself and her new husband standing in front of the ocean.

"Seriously no filter," she wrote. "We got married in the most beautiful setting."

TV personality and fellow Chelsea Lately regular Ross Matthews officiated the ceremony, a fitting role since he also played matchmaker for the two in 2014.

Sarah previously told People magazine about her introduction to her future husband, saying, "We actually met via Twitter, after Jon met Ross Mathews at the NFC Championship game last year and asked Ross to 'put in a good word' for him, then Tweeted me to get my attention. And - well, it worked.

"We began dating shortly after in February, and we both just knew we had found our perfect match."

Jon proposed to Sarah in December, 2014, on the eve of her 40th birthday.
