Abigail Breslin freaks out teen with crazed phone call
Former child star Abigail Breslin freaked out a random teenager while making new thriller The Call by accidentally phoning her while working on a tense scene locked in the trunk of a car.
The Oscar-nominated Little Miss Sunshine star, who plays an abducted teen in the film, thought she was using a prop cellphone when she heard a voice on the other end of the line.
Breslin recalls, "I'm on the cellphone and I was freaking out and
screaming and crying... and then all of a sudden I hear,
'Hello?'
"I just keep going because I'm assuming it's (co-star) Halle
(Berry), but I'm like, 'This doesn't sound like Halle at all.'
"This girl is like, 'Oh my God, what is wrong with you? Are you
OK?' And I know this is not in the movie (script). I look down
after they called cut and I realized I had accidentally dialled
somebody, some girl.
"I said, 'I think that we might have left a SIM card in here
(phone) by mistake, so they ended up calling her back and saying,
'This is a movie, don't freak out.'"
The young actress also left a gym-goer more than a little worried
when she showed up for a work-out straight from the set.
She explains, "She had been looking at me the whole time... and she
was like, 'Do you want to talk about something with anybody?' And I
was like, 'No, I'm OK.'
"I looked in the mirror and I realized I had fake blood and paint
and bruises, and my whole back was covered in bruises and I was
like, 'This is not real.'"
