Aaron Taylor-Johnson opens up about name change
Written by . Published: September 05 2012
Aaron Taylor-Johnson decided to break tradition by adopting his wife Sam Taylor-Wood's surname following their marriage earlier this year (12) because he "wanted to be a part of her".
The actor, formerly known as Aaron Johnson, wed the 45-year-old director in June (12) and the couple subsequently combined their surnames.
The 22 year old, who is credited under his new name for the first
time in latest movie Anna Karenina, has now opened up about their
decision, telling London's Evening Standard, "I just don't see why
women need to take the man's name.
"I wanted to be a part of her just as much as she wanted to be part
of me."
