50 Cent delays release of new solo album again
Superstar 50 Cent has disappointed fans by postponing the release of his long-awaited new solo album until next year (15).
The In Da Club hitmaker's follow-up to 2009's Before I Self Destruct has been delayed since 2011, when he became embroiled in a war of words with label bosses at Interscope Records over the lack of promotion for the project.
The disc was subsequently pulled from release, before Interscope
executives added it to their 2013 schedule.
It was pushed back again until September (14), but now 50 Cent
admits fans won't be able to hear his latest solo material until
2015 as he wants to focus on his recent reunion with his band
G-Unit and their new music.
He tells RollingStone.com, "I didn't want to lose the momentum
connected with everyone being back together."
G-Unit, also featuring Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck, made
a comeback over the summer (14) with the release of its first new
single in six years, Nah, I'm Talking Bout.
