Stars Support The Sciences at Breakthrough Prize Event

Driver’s next cinematic endeavor is based on actual events and involves the investigation into the CIA's post-9/11 Detention and Interrogation Program. Driver will play U.S. Senate staffer Daniel Jones, who had the difficult task of looking into accusations of torture and a cover-up of the matter. To prove that their needs to be accountability for a democracy to work, Jones must overcome all obstacles to make sure the truth about these heinous acts is revealed to the world. Scott Z. Burns's The Report is an upcoming dramatic thriller lead by Driver that has been generating a lot of buzz since it was screened at the Sundance Film Festival. There it earned strong reviews and drew comparisons to a similar real story-based investigation film called Spotlight, which, if you remember, took home the Oscar for Best Picture.The Report will release in theaters in mid-November with it being available for Amazon Prime subscribers two weeks later.
