4. Nintendo Switch adds more chapters to its most popular franchises.
While many gaming producers have hopped on the cloud streaming service bandwagon, Nintendo is just not there yet. They’ve been creating exclusive games for their Nintendo Switch console that you can’t play anywhere else like it’s 2006 again.
During Nintendo’s presentation, they announced several upcoming games to look forward to for their Nintendo Switch console. The presentation was kicked off with a teaser trailer of Luigi’s Mansion 3. Scheduled to release in 2019, the game stars Mario’s brother Luigi as he wanders through a haunted hotel. Next, Nintendo teased the return of its popular Animal Crossing franchise. Taking place on a deserted island, the upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, is scheduled for release in March 2020. A return of the Legend of Zelda franchise was also revealed during the presentation. A sequel to the original Breath of the Wild is in the works. Lastly, a new game in the Witcher series, called Wild Hunt, was announced to arrive to the Nintendo Switch later this year. Originally released in 2015, The Witcher has earned more than 250 awards.
