Now admit it, we all love our guilty pleasure in romantic movies. That being said, not every Hollywood romance has the best dating advice for our real lives. We don't recommend showing up to the airport unannounced like you saw in that romantic comedy. Additionally, sometimes love can't fix the problems in our significant others. We have compiled a list of some great films and TV that have some pretty good dating advice for you!

1. The Addams Family (1991)

Although The Addams Family movie may not seem admirable when it comes to dating, it has some pretty good lessons. Look at Morticia and Gomez. They have been married for a long time, have 2 kids, and still keep their relationship spicy. When it comes to dating advice, we recommend being like an Addams and always surprisingly your partner with gifts and keeping the relationship feeling fresh. Stream on Paramount+ With Showtime.

2. "Maid" (2021)

This series proves that love can't fix your partner. If the person you're dating is controlling, doesn't want you to hang out with loved ones, or makes you feel insecure about yourself, be like the protagonist in this show and leave! People don't change just because somebody loves them. Stream on Netflix.

3. Before Sunrise (1995)

We all love this romantic film, and it has one of the best dating lessons out there. Make sure you've talked to the person you are dating and that your values and minds are compatible! Available on VOD/Digital.

4. When Harry Met Sally (1989)

If you're friends before you start dating, your relationship will be even better for it. When Harry Met Sally shows that friendship is the key to a healthy relationship. Available on VOD/Digital.

5. Pride and Prejudice (2005)

This classic story has some timeless dating lessons in it as well, such as not letting societal pressure and conformity dictate how you feel about the person you are dating. If you like them and they are good to know, outside appearances shouldn't matter too much. Another integral lesson from P&P is the power of compromise and letting go of your pride. Available on VOD/Digital.

6. A Quiet Place (2018)

A Quiet Place emphasizes how to love your partner even in the most post-apocalyptic times. If the relationship will work, they should help you overcome your obstacles, not hinder you. Stream on Paramount+ and fuboTV.

7. Crazy Rich Asians (2018)

This rom-com illustrates that money is an important conversation to have with your partner before getting serious. If two people are in a relationship, they should have a difficult conversation about expectations with money. Stream on Apple TV+.

8. Call Me By Your Name (2017)

If you love someone, let them go. Heartbreak is a part of falling in love and dating; instead of letting it break you down, embrace the pain. Stream on Hulu.

9. Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019)

One message of this film is that first impressions can be deceiving, and if you let someone, they can always surprise you. Stream on Hulu.

10. Love and Basketball (2000)

Not every romantic partner will celebrate your career successes. We learned in Love and Basketball that it's important to have a partner that will support your career goals. Stream on Neflix.

11. Don Jon (2013)

In Don Jon, the biggest takeaway is, don't change yourself for the person you are dating. If they love you, they should love who you are you shouldn't need to change yourself for a relationship. Stream on Prime Video, Tubi, and PLEX.
